Recycle Right



The art direction for Recycle Right was rooted in clarity, simplicity, and immediate recognition. Because recycling confusion is often caused by visual noise and mixed messages, the design strips the message down to essentials. Bold color blocking, clean typography, and isolated material imagery were used to clearly spotlight the “Simple 5” recyclable items. Each material is treated almost like an icon—familiar, approachable, and easy to remember while the vibrant palette helps the campaign stand out in high-traffic public spaces.



Conclude



The final execution presents a robust, modular visual system that seamlessly functions across large-scale outdoor placements and printed materials like flyers. The billboard and flyer designs guide the viewer’s eye logically and intuitively from the headline to the materials, effectively reinforcing correct recycling behavior at a glance. Consequently, the campaign exudes a sense of civic responsibility, modernity, and accessibility, successfully translating an educational message into a visually captivating public reminder that encourages residents to recycle correctly, rather than guessing.
